Baby strollers – some essential items for any family with babies or preschoolers. They are used from the return of the mother from the maternity ward until the age of 2-3 years. As new parents, I remember the hassle of choosing a stroller and the fact that we went through about three models until we realized what we really wanted. It was easier for the second child, all the experience, tests, and information accumulated from the time when we were parents with one baby and stressed by all, bore fruit.
All the things and consumables bought for the second child were better, more durable, more comfortable and I saved a lot of money making good decisions from the beginning.
4 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY A STROLLER
There are a few things that as new parents you won’t even think about when you’re focused on your new baby and everything that’s best for him.
Here are some non-technical tips that do not relate to the properties and characteristics of a stroller but rather to the buying process.
1) You choose the stroller.
As we all know, in our country there is a lot of fuss about the birth of a baby. Even if we, the parents of a newborn, do not want to attract many valves, ultimately did not have much choice as grandparents, godparents, and friends, everyone wants to contribute to the joy of our family and … well, that’s a habit …
So everyone will come with all kinds of gifts and we can be sure that someone will offer or surprise us with a stroller.
Don’t let them buy you a stroller that you don’t like, either don’t have the features that only you know you need or aren’t, sure enough, Sigur you know what you want to give your baby.
So, do some research on the market in time, choose the stroller and let everyone know that you want it. Don’t worry that it’s too expensive or hard to buy, mention that you want to buy it so that there is no pressure on the family that wants to give it to you. It is important to choose and have the desired stroller.
2) Do not buy the cart at full price.
The baby market is very competitive. If you are on stage and choose the desired model in advance, you will surely find it at some point at a discount. Discounts abound in the online field. There are no stores that do not offer discounts on all kinds of occasions: Christmas, Valentine’s Day, March 8, summer, end of the season, Black Friday… Regardless of when the baby is born, you will definitely catch all kinds of discounts.
If you decide to buy a stroller from a store, don’t be shy to ask about a discount or if a promotion is coming. I know we live in Romania and we have run into “aunt sellers” who feel annoyed if you ask for a discount, but we live in modern times, usually, stores work with a percentage that allows the offer of promotions and discounts, and managers and store managers are allowed to offer discounts.
3) Tested
Even if you want to buy the stroller online, it is worth going to the stores and testing different stroller models. Put your hand, see how it works, if the handle is at a comfortable height if it folds easily. Even if you do not buy exactly the same model of baby stroller that you see in the store, it will give you an idea about the properties of that type of stroller.
4) Plan and decide in advance
Due to the fact that there are so many models and types of strollers on the market, it is important to make a plan. Do you want a 3 in 1 stroller model, do you need a pram or not, can it be replaced with a car shell? How long do you want to use it? How often to change it?
Knowing the properties of each stroller, in what season the baby will be born, maybe you have friends who can lend you a pram for the trip from the hospital to home, and in the future, you will manage with a car shell. You can keep the shell in the car permanently, doesn’t it bother you? Then you can also consider the fact that you do not need a 2 in 1 or 3 in 1 stroller that also contains a car seat. How big is your trunk? Does it fit a large stroller (folded of course) then next to it a series of other luggage such as beach buckets, toys, a bicycle, and possibly a chair?
Do some calculations before deciding on the type of baby stroller you want, taking into account external factors. You will see that you will be able to make your life easier and you will save money by making good, lasting choices.
STROLLERS WITH REVERSIBLE HANDLES
The reversible handle on a stroller is something that few new parents take into account. Although it seems like a fad, the reversible handle is extremely practical.
Let’s first look at the options on the market:
Strollers with handle in front – the handle is in front of the stroller so that the child is facing you and his back in the direction of travel.
This is especially true in the first months of a baby’s life when we want to keep an eye on them constantly. Or in children who sleep and are easily frightened by the noises around them, and the mother’s face calms them down and they can fall asleep again.
This type of handle is found on standard models, prams, or prams. Not very common in strollers for older children or sports.
Stroller with handle in the back – so that the child will be facing the direction of travel. The baby who is already 5-7 months old and may already be well in the ass, is ready to explore the world around him. That’s why he wants to face all the interesting things while walking with mom.
Trolley with reversible handle – the handle can be moved both in front and behind the trolley, a kind of 2 in 1. The advantages are obvious from the above description of the first two models. It is often found in standard children’s strollers, classic models with many features. These are usually strollers that can be used from the first months of life until the end of kindergarten.
Besides the fact that the baby prefers to see my mother or father when they wake up during the walk, during the long walks with my little girl on the alleys in the city I found countless occasions when I said “how good I can change the handle”. And one of the almost daily reasons was that the sun was beating from the front to the back, and I was sure, I was walking from top to bottom to fall asleep.
Whatever your preferences, the reversible handle is a useful feature that is worth considering for prams.
